Tomorrow, Saturday 15 June, at 10:00 CET the TF35 fleet will join 409 boats lining up on the startline for the 85th edition of the Bol d'Or Mirabaud hosted by the Société Nautique de Genève.
The forecast for this year's edition of the world's largest inland lake regatta is for a southwesterly 12 - 15 knot breeze to start the day, building to 20 knots by the late afternoon.
Contrary to the last three years of ultra light conditions this years race has the potential to be ideal conditions for the 123 kilometer course. In 2023, after 17h 34m 28s of racing in an almost non-existent breeze, the TF35 race within the 84th edition of the Bol d'Or Mirabaud came down to an intense duel at 3 am between Alinghi Red Bull Racing and Realteam Sailing with Jérôme Clerc at the helm of Realteam, emerging triumphant.
But as always with long-distance racing, nothing is decided until the finish line, and if the results of the last two Grand Prix events this season are a gauge of who will win, then the field is very open.
Spectators in Switzerland this year will be able to follow the race from the Village in Port Noir. The regatta will be commented live from the Village stage, with regular interviews and check-ins to follow the boats' positions live.
You can also follow the progress of the TF35s via tractrac on the home page of the TF35 website or via the app. Also on our class social networks, Facebook and Instagram.
