Ever keen to keep developing the TF35 fleet, the teams came together in early May to race three days of high-intensity training in preparation for the 2025 season. With 12 races sailing across varied conditions, it was a valuable process for everyone involved.
Day one brought cold rain and a strong 10–14 knot bise breeze, providing the chance to test new geo-positioned marks—deployment, battery life, and repositioning time—all monitored closely by the race committee.
Days two and three delivered stable 10–12 knot northerlies and sunshine, allowing crews to push their boats and practice their boat handling manoeuvres.
The weekend's highlight was the introduction of reaching starts, "It was great to test this start format. Now we'll assess what it brings tactically and whether it makes sense to include it in racing," said Loïc Forestier, helm of ZEN Too.
