The hotly anticipated start of the fourth TF35 season kicks off tomorrow, Friday, 24 May, with the TF35 Nyon Cup hosted by Société Nautique de Nyon in Switzerland.
This, the first event of the six-stop tour of Lake Geneva, will be the first time the six TF35 high-performance one-design foiling catamarans have raced together since the spring upgrade of the flight control system, which will further improve boat stability and narrow the playing field for the crews.
The forecast for the weekend shows that the TF35s will face a stormy lake tomorrow (Friday), but conditions are set to improve over the weekend.
"The weather is very complicated at the moment," explains Benoit Deutsch, Race Committee Director. "We're not in a situation of stable air masses. We're going to deal with that, and we'll do our best to launch some great races. It won't be easy, but the Race Committee is up for the challenge to enable the teams to compete in a magnificent Grand Prix."
Weather permitting, the plan is to race five races per day, with the first possible start at 11:30 a.m. Follow the TF35 Nyon Cup tracking via the TracTrac app HERE or on the tf35.org website, as well as on the class' social networks Facebook and Instagram.
