Boat Owner: Bertrand Demole (SUI)
Having raced together since 2015 Bertrand Demole's Ylliam XII - Comptoir Immobilier was the winner of the D35 class in the 2019 Bol d'Or Mirabaud and took second place overall.
In the D35 Trophy Demole's team have finished in second place for the past three years. The aim of the team, led by Demole himself, is of consistency and progression, with their hard work over the past five years showing in the results.
Continuing their evolution with the fleet the TF35 offers a fresh challenge to the team, as Demole explains: "It was an obvious choice to be part of this adventure. What we are looking forward to the most – apart of flying – is to discover a new design of the boat and finding the perfect key to racing the TF35. It is going to be an amazing experience for the sport and crew."
The flight system, the all-round performance of the boat and the logistical aspects of it are fascinating. Unlike with the F50 and America's Cup boats, the TF35 is accessible to any sailor: The flight control system allows non-professional sailors to helm. And the boat has been designed to sail in very light winds and be easily transportable."
